Organizations that run federal checks under Penal Code 11105.3 must enroll in CalVECHS before January 1, 2027. Daycares, schools and skilled nursing facilities don't currently qualify.

California agencies can now sign up for the FBI's Rap Back service, which sends notices of later out-of-state arrests. Only people fingerprinted after enrollment are covered.
